Payments and getting the kitchen delivered

Usually we deliver the kitchen on the day of installation between 7.30am and 9am. If the job is a long way away from our factory, then we sometimes deliver in the afternoon the day before install. Of course, you can organise pick up yourself also.

To get your hands on the kitchen, you need to pay what we call the goods release payment. This is 50% of the total price. Together with the 40% deposit, it means that you have paid 90%. We will not release the kitchen until this has been paid.

On delivery, the carriers will put the goods in the kitchen area and obtain a signature to confirm delivery for our ISO9000 records.

The installer will arrive generally at the same time as the carrier, or soon after.

Installation usually takes just over a day.

Why is moda so strict on payments?

We understand there are lots of cowboys out there, and you are wise to be careful and not to trust anyone. However, that's why we recommend you spend your money with financially stable, trusted brands. It is tempting to do the old kiwi "cash job", but many have come unstuck with that one! Our reputation is at stake, that's what keeps us on our toes. You are welcome to investigate our history or status at any time.

From our point of view, we have no idea who our customers are - they have no reputation to protect, and once the kitchen is installed, it is very difficult to get any money. Plus, each kitchen is made to order, so it's useless to us - we can't sell it to someone else!

We are not a faceless empire - we are real people who do a job, and deserve to be paid for what is a fantastic product. Please do not try to argue with our staff when it comes to payments. They are bound by our procedures as laid out in our ISO9000 quality manual.

In our history we have never walked away from a job, we have never been taken to court, or left any project in dispute.
