Stressed!
Chill out, relax, calm down........
Here are a few tips on how to not get divorced when buying a kitchen.....
- Agree on a budget before you start.
- Agree on the "don't even think about it" things - bright pink might not be everyone's cup of tea.
- Who is the kitchen for? If you are Gordon Ramsey, then you are probably in charge and your partner should leave you the "F" to it. If your husband couldn't find the kitchen if his life depends on it, then he should let you have your way and chill out. The name of the game is "pick your battles!".
- If your partner has decided to take a back seat, then make sure they get involved at the sign off. It's too late complaining after the kitchen has been installed. At least this way they can have their say and veto any bright pink diamond encrusted automatic toe nail painting devices.
- If you both spend time in the kitchen, then figure out what bits are important to you - he might want a wall oven, she might only care abut the colour - again, pick your battles!
- Remember we are here to help you. Buying a kitchen is an emotional event for many people, we will do our best to make the event as enjoyable and as easy as we can - just be nice to us in return!
