 Here are a few tips on how to not get divorced when buying a kitchen.....

• Agree on a budget before you start.

• If your partner has decided to take a back seat, then make sure they get involved at the sign off. It's too late complaining after the kitchen has been installed. At least this way they can have their say and veto any bright pink diamond encrusted automatic toe nail painting devices.
• If you both spend time in the kitchen, then figure out what bits are important to you - he might want a wall oven, she might only care abut the colour - again, pick your battles!
