Why is it so difficult?

It's all about options. Each time we give an extra option, the possibilities double. In the past, the only way to make this level of product was to instruct the cabinet maker himself. Each job was unique because there was no system available to capture the exponential possibilities that extra options cause. That was until the modul-plus system was invented.

Think of the modular companies (and our own BASIK product) like McDonalds. You get to choose from a set menu of products.

Then think of the custom cabinet maker - he will make you any food you want, but it will take him hours to prepare it, and he will have to buy all the ingredients and charge all the waste and left overs to you (that's a lot of time and a lot of money).

Now think of us like "Subway". You will end up with a sandwich that is totally unique, it's just the way you like it, but it's quick and cost effective. Can you see how you can end up with a kitchen that is designer and unique? Because we can utilise the same sort of ideas that go on in the modular system, it costs much less than a truly custom product.
